Michael L. Power

October 5, 1962 ~ March 8, 2024 (age 61) 61 Years Old

Tribute

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael L. Power who passed away on March 8, 2024 after a 9+ year long, hard, courageous and valiant battle with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 61. Michael was born in his hometown of Bristol, Connecticut, the city that he would call Home for the entirety of his life.
Michael was a graduate of Bristol Central high school class of 1980 and went on to pursue his passion for carpentry working for 32 years as a carpenter for the Connecticut state police department.
Michael’s hobbies were a reflection of his personality as he had the ability to do almost anything with his hands. Michael was constantly working on his home or rebuilding or tinkering with one of his cars, trucks, or one of his three Harley Davidson motorcycles. Michael loved following NASCAR, the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. Michael’s true passion was combining camping with one of his many motorcycle trips that included numerous trips through the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and everywhere in between most of which were taken with good friend Gene Quenneville. Michaels also had an annual 30+ year pilgrimage to the NASCAR race in Dover with family and friends. Michael’s love of riding Harley Davidson motorcycles was only exceeded by his love of times spent with his family and friends.
Michael is predeceased by his parents, John and Constance Power. Michael is survived by his brothers, John Power (Donna) of Bristol, James Power (Karen) of Terryville, Patrick Power of Bristol (Patrick was his caretaker who lovingly took care of Michael’s every need allowing Michael to live at home until the very end.) and a sister Lynn Norman (Michael) of Plainville. His aunts and uncle Beverly and Frank Ronzello, and Terry St.Onge and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Also Kimberly and Ashlynn Cyr whom he loved as his own.
