Evelyn Anna Armstrong, 96, of Bristol, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at Countryside Manor. She was the widow of Earle Armstrong.
Evelyn was born in St. George, New Brunswick, Canada on August 10, 1917 a daughter of the late Henry and Katherine (O’Brien) Faloon. She was retired as an assembler with Superior Electric and was very supportive of Our Father’s House Ministry. A personally religious person, Evelyn often led prayer groups.
She leaves her sons and their wives, Peter and Beverly Armstrong and Paul and Judith Armstrong all of Bristol; sisters Kaye Johnson and her husband Vic of Ontario, Canada and Ellen Hanley and her husband Maynard of Back Bay, New Brunswick, Canada; grandchildren Teresa Ouellette of Bristol, Susan Bradley of Southington, Mark Armstrong of Bristol, Rebecca Ray of Albuquerque, NM, Jacob Armstrong of Golden, CO; 12 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and 19 nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank the staff of Countryside Manor for all of the care they gave Evelyn.
Private services and committal will be held by the family. There are no calling hours. The O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville is assisting with arrangements.
