Emma Selander, 96 of Forestville, died on March 10, 2017 at Countryside Manor.
She was the wife of the late Dante Bianchi and Everett Selander. Emma was born in Meriden on January 13, 1921, a daughter of the late Angelo and Maria (Trevisan) Lisotto.
She grew up in Plainville, attended local schools and was employed at Plainville Electro Plating Company for over 40 years. She was a member of the former Trinity Covenant Church in Plainville where she served on several committees and was well known for her apple pies and gelatin salads. She is survived by her sister Ida and brother-in-law Stephen Rudzinski of Forestville, her two nieces Nancy Rudzinski Whittle of Forestville and Elaine Edwards of Unionville, a nephew Edward Vincenzi and his wife Lynn of Bristol. She is also survived by her grand nieces and nephews: Courtney, Stephen and Jonathan Whittle of Forestville, Jessica Lyons of Florida and Andrew Edwards of Virginia. She was predeceased by her sister Anne Vincenzi and a nephew Stephen Rudzinski. The family would like to thank the staff of Countryside Manor for their excellent care. Services were private and held at the convenience of the family.
