Glenn Robert Block

Glenn Robert Block, 70, of Bristol, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Thursday February 9, 2017 at Bristol Hospital.
Glenn was born on January 11, 1947 in Bristol, a son of the late Albert and Althea (May) Block.
Mr. Block served with the US Navy, stationed in Newport RI and Pearl Harbor, HI. He was part of the first graduating class from Tunxis Community College and went on to receive his Bachelor’s in Business from Central Connecticut State College. He was a member of the American Legion, the Korean War Veteran’s, the Humane Society and Chippanee Golf Club in Bristol.
Glenn is survived by his wife Lynette I. Block; his son and his fiancée Richard “Rick” Albert Kanji Block and Chelsea Norton; his cousins Linda and Maurice Robillard; his sister and brother-in-law Leila and Baron Lee; his mother-in-law Esther C. Ikemoto; many cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends he considered “family”.
He made our lives complete and will always be in our hearts.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 1PM until 3PM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/Forestville followed by military honors and a funeral service at 3PM.
