Janice H. Thornton

Janice H. Thornton, 72, passed away on Tuesday July 11, 2017.
She was born on December 28, 1944 in New Britain, a daughter of the late Donald and Norma (Poltri) Cayer.
Janice was a longtime employee at The Hawthorne Inn, Berlin and also for Denny’s and Dave’s before her retirement.
She is survived by her two sons, Scott Thornton of Portland, CT and Dwayne Thornton and his wife Tarra of Reno, NV; her daughter Gail Berry and her husband Joseph of Bristol; her grandson Austin Berry; her brothers Donald Cayer of Southington and Jon Cayer and his wife Beth of Stanley, VA; her sister Kathleen Thornton and her husband Douglas of Sandy Hook; her close friends Susan Bates and Barbara Kardys and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Barbara Padelli.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July15, 2017 from 11AM until 2PM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol, CT.
