John was an incredible person whose wealth of photography knowledge was astounding. I valued his critiques of my work because if always made me think outside of the box. I will miss Mr. Scott very much, but he will always be my inspiration. "What would John say on this...."

Dear Connie and Family, Our Deepest Sympathy. John will be greatly missed by all of us who called him friend, teacher and mentor. We have lost a great source of inspiration, and a world of photographic knowledge. From your friends at the Canton Camera Club

I only got to know John since joining the Canton Camera Club. He was a true wealth of knowledge about all aspects of photography and so willing to share with his friends. John will be greatly missed not only for what he taught us but for his sharp wit and gentle smile. RIP ole friend.
