Leo H. Corbin, Jr.

Leo H. Corbin Jr. “Harold” passed away peacefully at Sheriden Woods on Tuesday January 2, 2018.
Leo was born on August 31, 1928 in Waterbury, CT the son of the late Mary (Dumont) and Leo Corbin.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Cathy Meehan and Denise Dube both of Bristol; his grandsons, Steven Keating and John J. Keating III; his sister Mary MacDonald of SC and several nieces and nephews.
Leo was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Kromidas) Corbin; his sisters Dorothy Raymond and Rita Ann Grey and his brothers, Albert and John Corbin.
Leo served in the US Army in Korea until May 2, 1952. He retired from Pratt & Whitney after 25 years and later worked as a crossing guard for the City of Bristol for many years. His passion was carpentry, he loved to garden and had a great fondness for eagles. As a loving father and grandfather he will be missed.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 9, 2018 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/ Forestville from 9:30AM until 10:30 AM followed by a procession to St. Matthew Church, Forestville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Leo’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
