Marion C. Day

Marion C. Day, 84, of Bristol, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 with her family by her side.
She was born on March 2, 1933 in Hartford the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna VanNostrand.
Marion was an avid UCONN Woman’s Basketball fan who loved life. In her early years she enjoyed singing country music, playing her guitar and dancing. Later on she could often be found on a cruise ship, zooming around town in her little red car, drinking margarita’s at Eddie’s Sombrero (not at the same time) or spending time with family, friends and her cat Bella who meant the world to her.
She is survived by her five children, Anne DiPietro, Arline House, Alan House, Allyson Tobias and Andrea Theriault; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother Paul VanNostrand and several nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband George F Day of New Britain.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/Forestville from 10AM until 12 noon, followed by a brief service at the funeral home at noon.
