Patricia Louise McDermott

Patricia Louise McDermott, 72, of Farmington, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 9, 2017. She was the loving wife of James McDermott for 47 years.

Patricia was born in Teaneck, NJ on December 16, 1944 the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Gumminger) Diviney.

Patricia retired as a Media Manager from Tunxis Community College in 2017. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and traveling with her family. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister and her unconditional love will be missed dearly.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Anne Ciccio and her husband Mark of Wethersfield; son Thomas McDermott and his wife Cynthia of Farmington; grandchildren James and Benjamin McDermott of Farmington ;sisters Judith Rainwater of Kansas, Kathleen McWilliams of Texas, Nancy Diviney of Kansas and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/Forestville from 4PM until 7PM.
Patricia’s funeral will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 10 AM from O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol and will proceed to St. Patrick Church, 110 Main St, Farmington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.
