Alan L. DiFrancesco

Alan “Al” L. DiFrancesco, 58, of Bristol, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. He was born on July 25, 1962 in New Britain, son of Raymond R. DiFrancesco and the late Elizabeth Ann (Vick) DiFrancesco.
 
Al was the loving and devoted husband of Donna (Sisson) DiFrancesco for 33 years. Together they enjoyed traveling, camping, and attending their son Tyler’s hockey games.  Al earned an engineering degree from UCONN and worked for Webers Nursery in New Britain for many years.  He loved flowers and the outdoors and taking care of his Koi Pond.  Al also held NC dear to his heart.  As kids, Al along with his sister Donna, would spend their summers in NC with their aunts and uncles and special cousins, particularly Bobby Vick whom Al was especially close to.   Al was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed hockey and especially enjoyed watching the UCONN men’s and women’s basketball games and the Dallas Cowboys.
 
Besides his wife Donna, Al is survived by his son and best friend, Tyler DiFrancesco of Bristol.  He was so proud of the young man Tyler has become and all of his accomplishments, his adored dog Abby; sisters Carol Sisti of Southington, Donna Dickerson and her husband Mike of NC; brother Raymond J. DiFrancesco and his wife France of Southington; nieces and nephews Jennifer, T.J., Raymond W., Eric, Alice, Kelly, Leah and several cousins and many friends along with the entire Sisson family.
 
Al is now reunited with his loved ones, including his Mom and his beloved dog, Shelby.
 
Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol from 5:00PM until 7:00PM.
