Aline E. Towne (Greenier), 90, of Bristol, widower of John J. “Jack” Towne, passed to heaven peacefully on August 15, 2022. She was born in Limestone, Maine on October 29, 1931, daughter of the late Lenwood and Angelique (Parent) Greenier.

Aline worked for many years as a secretary for the City Of Bristol. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Matthew Church. Her passion for Jesus Christ was evident in every walk of her life. She was involved with the Ladies’ Guild, Rosary Society, Christian Education and the church gardens. For thirty years she attended weekday mass and lead the rosary.

She generously engaged in community service. She participated in RSVP and Wheeler Clinic, where she received the oldest volunteer award. She enjoyed playing piano and later ballroom dancing. She loved traveling the northeast and attending Broadway shows.

Aline is survived by her children and their spouses Lee Martin, Lorna and Dick Griffin, John Towne and Ed Pepe, Jamie and Stacey Towne; her grandchildren D.J. Martin, Derrick and Alicia Martin, David and Rachel Griffin, Sydney, Cooper, Shelby, Dexter and Hadlee Towne; six great-grandchildren; her sister Marie and Robert Chesley, sister-in -law Jean Greenier and a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends.

Aline was predeceased by her husband John J. “Jack” Towne and her siblings Bill, Doris, Dot and her brother-in-law Chuck Marquis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 10AM at St Matthew Church Bristol. Masks required.
