Angela Marie Salcito-Bonicki, 59 of Bristol, passed suddenly Tuesday afternoon, September 10, 2019 at her home. She has been the beloved wife of Kevin J. Bonicki for 15 years.
Angela was born on September 16, 1959 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Joseph Philip Salcito and Lillian D. (DeCapua) Salcito and lived there for most of her life moving to Bristol two years ago. Angela received an Associate Degree in general education and was extremely proud of her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 30 years. She had worked for Hartford HealthCare at Home formerly VNA Healthcare of Waterbury.
Angela possessed a strong faith and took great pleasure being with her family and many friends. She adored rides to the beach, romance novels, word search puzzles and everything on the Hallmark Channel. She was also a communicant of St. Matthew Church, Forestville.
Besides her husband, she leaves her brother Joseph Salcito and his wife Luanne of Waterbury; sister Vicki Ann LoRusso and her husband Frank of Wolcott; nieces and nephews Arianne Salcito, Lauren LoRusso, Andrew Salcito, Corey Delaney, Dan Leonard, Lindsey Bonicki, Kyle Bonicki, Thomas Ouellette, Anthony Bonicki and Andrew Bonicki and many other relatives and close friends.
Calling hours will be on Friday, September 13, 2019 between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Forestville. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Interment will be held at a later date.
