Anna Elizabeth Curtin, 73, of Bristol, passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 with her son and his wife at her side.
Anna was born in Pawtucket, RI on February 1, 1946 a daughter of the late John and Anna (Canton) Curtin. She was retired after many years as the Program Coordinator of the Health Career Opportunities Program at UConn Healthcare.
Anna loved her life. She supported and enjoyed attending the theater at such places as The Bushnell in Hartford, Warner Theater in Torrington and Seven Angels in Waterbury. Music of all types thrilled her and she was a former member of the Bristol Choral Society. She traveled all over the globe and enjoyed her Boston Red Sox and UConn Huskies. Most of all she loved and enjoyed her grandsons and “granddog” Brady.
She leaves her son Frank Curtin and his wife Becky of Middletown and grandsons Benjamin and Liam Curtin; brother John Curtin of Old Lyme and her niece Melissa Curtin McDavitt and her husband Mark McDavitt of Los Angeles, California; as well as many friends with whom she enjoyed spending time.
A celebration of Anna’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 with calling hours between 10:00a.m. and 11:30a.m. with a short service to follow at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol. A reception for family and friends will then be held at J. Timothy’s Taverne, 143 New Britain Ave, Plainville.
