Anthony "Tony" S. Zarick Jr.

September 30, 1955 ~ July 31, 2021 (age 65) 65 Years Old

Tribute

It is with a deep and very heavy heart we said goodbye to Anthony S. Zarick, Jr. on July 31, 2021. He was the devoted husband to Sandy (Pelenski) Zarick for the 38 years they were married.

Tony was born on September 30, 1955 the son of the late Anthony S. Zarick Sr., and Mary (Majocha) Zarick. Tony bravely faced a rare disorder called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) that incrementally limited his time with all of us. He was a hardworking, never stopping husband, father, brother and friend. He filled his days with his family. His wife Sandy, sons Anthony, Ryan and daughter-in-law Wioleta were his world. He also loved his Boston Red Sox.

Tony worked as a machinist at Associated Spring Barnes Group for 37 years and was a member of UAW Local 712. His well-known enjoyment of gardening turned his backyard into a farm with his plants, ducks and chickens. Tony enjoyed his property in Bradford, Vermont and growing up vacationing with his family on Lake Champlain. His many passions were fishing, boating, hockey, snowmobiling, cooking, softball, “name that song” and other trivia.

Besides his wife, sons and daughter-in-law, Tony leaves his brother James Zarick (Wendy) and his sister Janet Weingart (Don), sister-in-law Diane Cassineri (Richard), several nieces and nephews and his dog Frank.

All are invited to a calling hour beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol followed by a procession to St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Forestville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Committal and interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol.
