Carmel A, Musumano, 78, of Bristol, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. She was born on July 17, 1942 in Bristol, daughter of the late Martin and Carrie (Fiorillo) Hovanesian, Sr..
Carmel was the owner of McCormick Restaurant for many years before she retired. She enjoyed playing golf and tennis and was very athletic. She had an amazing sense of humor, as she would say, “If I didn’t have my sensor of humor, I don’t know where I would be”. Carmel was a great Italian cook and loved her family more than words can express. She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed tremendously.
Carmel is survived by her sons Jeffery Musumano and his wife Gisele of Bristol, Gregory Musumano of FL; daughter Dina Radcliffe and her husband Paul of Plantsville; grandchildren Tia Dawley and her husband Jon, Matthew Musumano, Jordan, Nathan, Catherine, Jacinta, Cecilia, Isabel and Aiden Musumano, Aaron and his wife Joey, Ashley, Marisa, Jacob and Liam Radcliffe; great-grandchildren Gino Musumano, Juliette Dawley, Nathaniel Musumano; brother Martin Hovanesian, Jr. and his wife Janis of Bristol and her nephew Jesse Hovanesian.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 5PM until 7PM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave, Bristol. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 11AM. Family and friends are invited to join the family at O’Brien Funeral Home starting at 9:45AM for a procession to St. Francis De Sales (St. Anthony Church), 111 School St., Bristol. A burial will follow at St. Joseph cemetery, Bristol.
