Mildred "Millie" Pease

May 25, 1926 ~ June 5, 2018 (age 92) 92 Years Old

Tribute

Mildred “Millie” Pease, 92, of Bristol, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 5, 2018 with her family by her side.  She was the wife of the late William C. Pease who passed in 2007 after 60 years of marriage and was the true love of her life.

Millie was born in Bristol on May 25, 1926 the daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Micari) Mortellite and was a lifelong resident.  She retired after many years as a bank teller and enjoyed acting and singing in civic theater productions many years ago.  She had been a communicant of St. Gregory Church, had sung in their choir and was an avid knitter.

Millie was a big fan of the UConn Huskies especially the women’s basketball.  She was an awesome Italian cook and was proud of her Sicilian heritage and ability to speak the language.  The bottom line was she enjoyed being the life of any party and could belt out a showtune with the least encouragement.  But most of all she loved and adored all of her grandchildren and her great grandson.

Millie leaves her children, Robert Pease (Nancy) of Forestville, Marty-Lynn Cooley (Carroll) of Melbourne, FL and Janice Baranoski (Ken) of Cheshire; sisters Nancy Grzeika (Eugene) of Bristol, Rita Rowley of Pinehurst, NC and Jennie Sylvester of Bristol; grandchildren Bryan, Michelle and Ariel Pease, Brittany Baranoski, Alexa Baranoski Halsell (Jeremy), Lauren Stump (Christopher), Michael Schumacher and great grandson, Benjamin Stump.  The family would also like to include and thank Millie’s CNA, Patricia Fusco.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Peter and Joseph M. Mortellite, Fr. Vincent James Mortellite, Katie Micari, Mary and Katherine Mortellite, Josephine Pienkos and Jill Inferrera.

Her Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gregory the Great Church and her interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol were private.  Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research, 383 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 (www.themmrf.org).  O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville was in charge of the arrangements.  To leave an online message of condolence, share a memory or a photo, please visit Millie’s tribute page at www.OBRIEN-FUNERALHOME.com.
