Cesareo Asensio, 96, of Plainville passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 6, 2017 at his daughter’s home.
Cesareo was born on September 6, 1921 in Spain, a son of the late Hippolito and Jacinta (Gomez) Asensio.
Mr. Asensio, a US Army World War II veteran, was a lifelong resident of Plainville and a retired welder for Tuttle & Bailey.
He is survived by his daughters, Christine Staggers and her husband Carl “Butch”, Lynn Brookman and her husband Patrick, Jeanne Nocera; his son William Asensio and his wife Tracy; his daughter-in-law Carol Asensio; his brother Alfonso Asensio and his wife Jenny; his sister Trinidad Binkowski; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.
He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Asensio and his sons, Kenneth and Michael.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday December 10, 2017 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/ Forestville from 2PM until 4PM.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday December 11, 2017 at 10AM followed by a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville.
