Chris M. Galvin, 31 of Plainville, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at New Britain General Hospital.
Chris was born in Bristol on July 22, 1987 a son of Chris and Donna (Gaity) Galvin. He was educated in local schools, was a member of the Church of St. Matthew in Forestville and was a toolmaker by trade. Chris had a sense of humor that went from the hysterical to the corny. He spared no expense to look dapper in the finest clothing and loved all forms of music creating playlists for his enjoyment.
Besides his parents of Bristol, he leaves his siblings, Joseph and Caroline Galvin of Bristol, paternal grandparents Barbara and Jim Shoneck all of Bristol; girlfriend Nicole Lucente of Plainville; aunts and uncles Daniel and Deb Gaity, Janet Gaity, Jonathan Gaity, Timothy and Mary Gaity, Nancy and Craig Jalbert, Jay and Latifa Galvin, Jeff Shoneck, Tim and Felicia Shoneck, Ted and Karen Shoneck and Scott Shoneck and will be missed by many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Edward Galvin and maternal grandparents Joseph and Mary Gaity.
Friends and loved ones are invited to calling hours on Friday, November 16, 2018 between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville (Bristol). Chris’ funeral will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, November 17, 2018 and will proceed to the Church of St. Matthew, 120 Church Ave., Forestville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Committal service and interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol.
