Clara Lilea Catellier Breault, 89, died on Tuesday, March 30. Mrs. Breault was born in Hartford, CT and lived in the Bristol area all of her life, with the exception of the four years she attended high school in Nicolet, Quebec. Clara was an expert typist and stenographer and worked in those fields until she married J. Adrian Breault on October 3, 1953. They were married until his death in 1998. Clara was a member of Saint Gregory‘s Church in Bristol and had been a member of the Daughters of Isabella in Terryville, CT while she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church there. She also joined the Red Hat Society and attended Tunxis Community College after she retired. Clara is survived by her sons Michael, Wilton, ME; Marcel and his wife Eileen Croze Breault, Terryville, CT; her daughter Thérèse Hervieux and husband Mark Hervieux, Vernon, CT; her granddaughters Cora Breault, Farmington, ME, Hannah Breault and her partner Evan Toth, Boulder, CO; Amara Ferreira and her husband David, Southbury, CT, Danielle Breault of Boston, MA, and two great grandsons, Oliver Ferreira and Adrian Diaz; her sister Nancy Ostroski and her husband David of Edgewater, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Clara was predeceased by her husband Adrian, and son, Guy A. Breault. When her children had all grown she returned to work as an executive secretary at Waterbury Farrell-Textron for a number of years, until she retired. Clara loved to travel and while her husband Adrian was alive they drove by car and occasionally by train to visit many spots in the east, throughout Quebec, the Outer Banks, and into the southern states, especially New Orleans. One noted trip for them was to visit the EWTN television station. After Adrian’s death Clara was able to extend her travels to Israel, Italy, Greece, Alaska, and Mexico. Reading and learning was so important to her that she and a couple of Terryville mothers started a Saturday reading group for their kids even before they went to school. Clara loved attending bible studies and was happiest when she could frequently attend Mass and practice her Catholic faith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 9 at 11:00 at St Gregory Church followed by the burial at St Joseph Cemetery.
