Clara T. Casarola, 84, of Bristol, loving wife of the late Vito M. Casarola passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Clara was born on June 5, 1937 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late John and Mary (Brady) Kronenberg. She was the youngest of 11 children. After growing up in Bridgeport and attending The American School for the Deaf in West Hartford she met and married her husband Vito. They eventually settled in Bristol where she spent the next 50 years as a loving and devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She loved caring for her home and yard, relaxing with her favorite soap opera and cheering on the Red Sox, and Husky basketball teams. In her later years she took several memorable group trips with Vito and their friends. She never turned down an opportunity to visit the casino and play the slot machines. Most of all, she truly cherished family and the time spent caring for all six of her grandchildren.
Clara is survived by her son Joseph Casarola and his wife Heidi of Bristol; daughters Carol LeMere and her husband Robert of Terryville, Ann McConnell and her husband David of Bristol; grandchildren Mitchell (Taylor and Jackson) LeMere, Noah LeMere, Breanna and Joshua McConnell, and Jonathan and Samuel Casarola; sister Elizabeth Uliano of Cheshire and several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/ Forestville from 4PM to 6PM followed by a 6PM funeral home service.
