Clifford H. Gates

Clifford H. Gates, 96, of Bristol passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 14, 2021.
Clifford was born on June 19, 1925 in Mount Holly, VT the son of the late Leonard and Catherine (Sprague) Gates.
He retired from Fafnir Bearing/Textron and had his own landscaping and driveway business.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years, Elsie (Bonola) Gates of Bristol; his daughter Pamela Munger and her husband Richard; his sons Steven Gates and his wife Joan and David Gates and his wife Barbara; his grandchildren Nicholas Munger and Allison Munger, Jennifer (Ron) St. Juste, Andrew Gates, Leonard (Jackie) Gates, Jeffrey Gates; his brothers Chester of Putney, VT, Robert and Donald Gates of Mount Holly, VT; his sister Etta Kennett of Springfield, VT; his six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers Frank and George Gates and his sisters Lillian Snyder and Hazel Turner.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/Forestville then to St Matthew Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM followed by a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
