Daryl N. Lejeune, Sr., 72, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center in Plantsville.  He was the husband of the late Marie (Decrisantis) Lejeune.

Daryl was born in Torrington on May 25, 1945 son of the late Alfred and Vivian (Glass) Lejeune.  He was retired as a truck driver and had driven for Allied Grocers and ABF Freight and was a member of Teamsters Local 677, 671 and 559.  Daryl enjoyed camping with Marie and spending time outdoors sharing laughs with friends and neighbors.  After retiring, he enjoyed having breakfast weekly with his good friend, Randy, as well as several former co-workers from ABF.

He leaves his children, Daryl N. Lejeune, Jr. and his wife Robin, David Lejeune and his wife Amanda, and Lisa Holmes all of Torrington; stepchildren Dino Tartarelli of Bristol and Dina Ungiechajer and her husband John of Farmington; brother John Lejeune of Oswego, NY and sister Joyce Barnes of Torrington; grandchildren Jordan and Jason Ungiechajer, Nathan and Cameron Tartarelli and Peter Lejeune.  He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his "Aunt Sis," Arlene Potter from West Virginia.  Daryl was predeceased by his son James Lejeune and by his brothers Todd and Thomas Lejeune.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Alzheimer's Resource Center for the care that they provided Daryl.
