Dorothy R. LeHouillier, 87, widow of Raoul LeHouillier, of Bristol, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born on September 15, 1935 in Waterbury, VT, the daughter of the late Alson and Julia (Gifford) Reynolds; the second youngest of 12 children.
She was a resident of Bristol, CT since 1955. Dorothy was employed at Southern New England Telephone for more than 22 years until her retirement in 1996. She was an avid reader, loved music of every genre, and enjoyed watching all black and white Turner Classic Movies.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Laura Dittman of Plymouth and Margaret and her husband Jerry Daniels of Bristol; her son Gerard “Butch” LeHouillier and his wife Josie of Terryville; her grandchildren Russ Dittman, Kirsten Clark, Erin Lavoie, Michael Boderone, Ryan Lavoie, Lauren LeHouillier, Jessica LeHouillier, Julia McCoy and David LeHouillier; her great-grandchildren Vito Dittman, Makayla Miarecki and Lea Helt; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Diane Boderone.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 2PM until 5PM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol, CT 06010.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 9AM from O’Brien Funeral Home to St. Matthew Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM followed by a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
Memorial donations may be made to Bristol Hospital Cancer Care Center, 41 Brewster Rd., Bristol, CT 06010. Dr. Brahaj and her entire staff were wonderful during these past six years. A special thank you to Katie Killeen, her hospice nurse, who was so caring.
