Dorothy L Nicoletti

Dorothy “Dot” Lois Prindle Nicoletti, 93 of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 15, 2021. She was born on February 6, 1928 in Bristol, and was the daughter of Florence Prindle.

Dorothy graduated from Bristol High School, class of 1946 and was employed at The Travelers Insurance Company and NAPCO, where she retired. She resided at her home on Divinity Street for over 60 years and for the last 5-1/2 years lived at The Pines Nursing Home in Bristol.

She loved crocheting, knitting, sewing, jigsaw puzzles, exercising at the Bristol Senior Center, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Anthony “Bob” Nicoletti; her mother, Florence Prindle; sisters, Joan Lincoln and Barbara Bachand; and her son-in-law Paul Barkley.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Nicoletti Barkley and companion, Richard Campbell of Bristol; son, Robert Nicoletti and wife Eileen of Old Lyme; brother-in-law Raymond Bachand and sister-in-law, Patricia Marseglia, both of Bristol. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Amy Ouellette and husband Brian; Brian Barkley and wife Sarah; Ryan Nicoletti and companion, Chelsie Genovese; Abby Damboise and husband Scott; and Todd Barkley and wife Jenna. She also leaves great-grandchildren Jake, Maci, Tyler and Camille. Step-great grandchildren Matthew and Leigha; several nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Carol Benjamin.

Special thanks and gratitude to the nurses, CNA’s and staff at The Pines, Constellation Hospice staff, and to her roommate, Pauline, who always had a watchful eye on her.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 starting at 9:00 AM at O’Brien Funeral, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol until a procession will begin to St. Francis De Sales (St. Anthony Church) for an 11:00AM Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
