Tribute

With broken hearts and tears in our eyes, we are saying goodbye to a loving husband, father, grandfather and soon to be great-grandfather, Edward “Ed” Becchetti, Sr., of Bristol, son of Leo and Frances (Dombroski) Becchetti.
Born in Waterbury on December 4, 1945, Ed graduated from Croft High School, Waterbury in 1963. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Diane (Marino) Becchetti; his sons Edward Becchetti, Jr. and his wife Gayle of Tolland, CT, Eric Becchetti and his wife Chelsey of Chandler, AZ; his grandchildren Taylor (Matthew) Becchetti Caron of Manchester, Jordan Becchetti of Tolland and USAF cadet Jacob Becchetti; his brother Rich (Loumay) Becchetti of SC and many loving nieces, nephews and close friends. The family would like to thank Companions and Homemakers and hospice nurses and his caretaker Ven Djentuh. Ed worked 20 years at Tilcon New Britain and was a communicant of Holy Trinity PNCC, Plantsville. He enjoyed watching the UCONN Women’s basketball team, the NY Yankees and NY Giants.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol from 1 PM until 3 PM followed by a service at 3PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Bristol Homecare and Hospice Agency, 32 Valley St. Bristol, CT 06010.
