Francis “Frank” Berloni, 92, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2022. Frank was born on October 21, 1929, a son of the late John and Mary (Smith) Berloni.
Born and raised in New Britain, Frank moved to Bristol in 1958 with his wife Theresa and daughter Debra. Following high school graduation in 1949, Frank entered the U.S. Army, proudly serving in the Korean War from 1952 through 1954.
He worked for 27 years as a tool and die maker at Marlin Rockwell (TRW), before his retirement from Plainville Special Tool.
Frank is survived by his daughter Debra Yelding and his sister Virginia Salmon as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife of almost 65 years, Theresa (Pignatella) Berloni who passed July 7, 2019; his son-in-law Randolph “Sonny” Yelding; and siblings George Berloni and Mary Gehrken.
Franks family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at The Pines at Bristol and the Masonic Care Hospice for their wonderful care of Frank.
Calling hours will be held from 10AM-12PM on Monday, September 26, 2022 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol. A service will begin at 12PM followed by inurnment at St. Mary Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain.
