George H. Milbury, Jr. 89, widower of Joyce M. Milbury passed away peacefully on January 14, 2021 at his home in Bristol, CT.
George was born in Easton, Maine on August 5, 1931, son of the late George and Jaska (Webber) Milbury. George was an Army veteran of the Korean War holding the rank of Sergeant.
He leaves behind his children, Stephen Milbury of Bristol, Sheree Mailhot and her husband Thomas of Bristol, and Sabrinajoy Milbury and her husband Andy Johnson, of South Burlington, VT; grandchildren Jerry R. Daniels, III and his wife Vanessa of Bristol, Christine Clement and her husband Nils of Plainville, Jaska Hobbs and their wife Penelope Hobbs of Underhill, VT; Errik Milbury of Bristol, Sean Milbury of Southington and Olivia Milbury of Agawam, MA; four great-grandchildren Jerry R. Daniels, IV and Rowan Arthur Daniels of Bristol, Samuel Milbury and Caroline Milbury of Waterbury; brother Elliott Milbury and his wife Donna, of Newport News, VA; step-grandchildren, Katie Clukey and her husband Justin of Bristol, Kristin Mailhot and her husband Christian Otis, of New Haven, and step-great-grandchildren, Joshua and Lucas Clukey of Bristol; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank his very special friend, companion and helper, Orlene Peart of East Hartford for her dedication in caring for him for the last 3 years.
He was predeceased by his beloved sister Madeline Flannery (Toots).
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., from 4PM until 6PM. Military honors will follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice.
