Tribute

Georgian Marie LaRosa, 87, of Bristol passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024 with her family by her side.
Georgian was born on June 24, 1936 in New Britain, the daughter of the late George and Bertha Campbell.
She is survived by her daughter Michele Farrell of Terryville; her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Kristin Bibisi of Bristol; her grandchildren Robert Bibisi of Bristol, Tyler Musshorn and wife Nicole Musshorn of Montville, Krysten Miller and husband Geordan Miller of Geneseo, New York and Jacob Calvin of Terryville; her great-grandchildren, Kylie Portal of Geneseo, New York and Conrad Miller of Geneseo, New York and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert Sebastian Bibisi and her second husband Frank LaRosa and sisters Madeline Santora and Betty Rosol.
Georgian’s fondest memory of her childhood growing up in New Britain was spending time with her father. She spoke often of him and the fun times they shared attending Boston Red Sox games.
She worked in retail for many years, followed by several years of secretarial work but she was happiest being a homemaker where she could be with her family and spend time with her grandchildren.
Known as “Gram or GMA” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their friends, her home was their gathering place where she enjoyed spending time with them. Summers were spent with endless pool parties and barbeques; Thanksgivings were always about her famous pumpkin pies, but Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved to decorate her home for Christmas and the minute Thanksgiving was over her Christmas lights came on. She loved to pile the grandkids in her car and tour the neighborhoods to look at the Christmas lights. She spent her later years playing cards, coloring, doing crossword puzzles and playing bingo. She was known as “Georgie” to her friends but her most cherished moments were those spent talking to or face timing her grandchildren.
She left this world knowing she was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Georgian’s life will be held by her family at a later date.
