His grandchildren were his pride and joy. John was also a member of the Mount Carmel-Saint Cristina Society.
John is survived by his daughter Christina Cassarino and her husband Steve Ditota of Southington; his son Mark Cassarino and his wife Shreve of VA; grandchildren Ella Cassarino, Michael, Maria Rose and Julia Ditota. John is also survived by several cousins and close friends, both in the US and abroad. He was predeceased by his wife, parents and brother, Emanuele Cassarino.
The family would like to thank the many nurses and staff at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, in particular those on C5, which supported them and took care of their father with the upmost dignity and respect. Their level of compassion toward all is inspiring.
