Colleen, you are in my thoughts at this difficult time. While it sounds like your dad led a very full life, sometimes that only makes you miss him that much more. I know you will cherish the good memories.

To all of the Gruner family,
You were all part if our lives for many years and always will be even though we are now far way. Your parents were surrogate parents and best friends to Richard especially as we watched you kids grow up along with our own. We had a beautiful life on Timber Lane and will always cherish the memories. May you find peace and comfort in your family and from all those who loved your dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Having grown up with the Gruner family for nearly 50 years , I will always have many wonderful memories to think back on . I was glad to have shared many times with Hank , especially after Mary Jane's passing . His love of early aviation was a subject that was also shared with me , and it was very enjoyable for me to fulfill his request to find and build the last model he wanted for his collection of WW1 planes , as well as hearing his recollections when he thanked me for my card which I always sent him each Veterans Day .
Hank was a shining example of the " Greatest Generation" . I will miss him .

GRUNER,S FAMILY.
THE loss of someone dear to me,a man I call my dad, very gentle and have respect for others, it's not easy to see such a great person leaving you in just a second.
It's very painful and heartbreaking.
May you take comfort in the fact that you are surrounded by people that love you most and care for you.
I will always love the Gruner family.Hank,Michelle,Colleen, Tom,Julie,Nick,Sara and my little Eva...

Colleen and family, you will remain in our prayers during this difficult time. We are deeply sorry for your loss and hope you will find comfort. We wish you peace. Hank leaves us deeply sad for our loss but grateful for his life well lived. If we all could have a share in just half of Hank's wonderfully rich life, we would be happy. Peace and sympathy,
