Jacqueline Lee Dagenais

Jacqueline Lee Dagenais in her 90th year, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2021. She was predeceased by her daughter Sandy Jean in 2002 and her parents John Frederick Dagenais and Lucy Elizabeth Hopkins Dagenais. Born in Plainville, she lived in Bristol since 1982 and after 16 years of employment she was the first retiree of Affinity at The Hartford in March 1996. She served several years at St. Matthew’s Church in different lay capacities, teaching CCD for 10 years. A Literacy Volunteer and member of the Bristol RSVP she was an avid artist, pursuing photography, painting and writing. She authored several books with text and photography, and more recently completed two photo genealogy books on her family names: Dagenais-Beloin and Hopkins-Maloney. She leaves her son Stephen John Case and his wife Terry of Terryville, CT; her daughter Linda Lee Bergeron and her husband Donald of Maine; three grandchildren, Heather Marie-Lee Nielsen of Terryville, CT, Paul Donald Bergeron of Berlin, Germany and Nicole Lee Lafrenaye and her husband Joshua of Orono, ME; her great-grandchildren Iris and Kennebec Lafrenaye; her sister, Audry Roy of Hemet, CA and her brother John Dagenais of Redlands, CA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 15, 2021 directly at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St., Plainville, CT at 10AM. Followed by a procession to West Lane Cemetery, 740 High Rd., Berlin CT.
