Jane DiVenere

Jane DiVenere, 97, widow of Peter DiVenere of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 5, 2021 with her family by her side.
Jane was born on May 2, 1924, in Bristol, the daughter of the late Pietro and Elizabeth (Michienzi) Bartucca.
She graduated from Bristol schools and retired from Superior Electric in the 1980’s. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and loved baking, sewing, walking, listening to music and traveling, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Jane is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth DiVenere and Linda DiMatteo; her son Richard DiVenere; her two grandchildren Peter DiMatteo and his wife Christine and Natalie DiMatteo and her fiancé Ian Cole; her great-grandchildren Michael Nicholas, Ryan and Ella and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Patsy, Bruno, John and Frank Bartucca; her sister Mary DiPietro and her son-in-law Nick DiMatteo.
Jane’s family would like to thank the staff of the Pines at Bristol for their attentive care and support.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 9, 2021 at 12:30 PM directly at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave. Bristol, followed by a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
