John F. Cain

John F. Cain of Hamden, CT passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023 after a brief illness. Born December 8, 1939, in Holyoke, Massachusetts the son of John Francis Cain and Grace May (Sullivan) Cain. A graduate of Syracuse University and then receiving his masters at University of Massachusetts Amherst, John spent much of his business career with General Electric, serving the company as an IT Manager & Strategic Planning Analyst in offices in the U.S. and Brazil. In 1999, he joined Citibank as a VP Senior Business Analyst. After retirement, John pursued entrepreneurial endeavors with his companies Scientific Systems and MyCondoOffice, and also taught students at the local university. In his spare time you could find him on his sailboat the Sunkist or traveling the globe.

He is survived by his sister, Ellen Cain McDonald; his seven nieces & nephews: Alicia Drabik of Wheaton, IL, T. Michael McDonald Jr. of San Juan, P.R., Anne Hammond of Chicago, IL, Grace Carroll of Norfolk, VA, John McDonald of Houston, TX, Katharine Sacco of Brightwaters, NY, and Monica Banks of Northport, NY; and his beloved lifelong friends Sheila Muscott and Previn Patel
Per his request, interment will be private.
