Joseph H. Dionne

Joseph Henry Dionne, 76, beloved husband of the late Marilyn Carol (St. Peter) Dionne for 54 years passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Friday morning June 8th, 2018 at the home of his daughter Lori and son-in-law David Korngiebel in Southington after a courageous battle of illnesses.

Joseph was born on January 16th, 1942 in Cross Lake (Guerette), Maine. He was one of ten children born to the late Mack and Annie (Dube) Dionne. He and his wife lived in Connecticut for many years before returning to Cross Lake Maine in 1999 where they were members of St. Joseph Church. While in Connecticut, Joseph worked for 36 years at Pratt and Whitney along with his wife, where he was a machinist and a member of the Pratt and Whitney fire brigade. He was also a member of The Church of St. Dominic in Southington. Joseph enjoyed hunting and fishing, bowling, playing cards, cribbage, and visiting the casinos with his wife.

Joseph leaves his son Kevin Dionne and his girlfriend Lisa Marie; daughters Lisa Dionne and Lori Korngiebel and her husband David. He also leaves behind his brother Emery Dionne and sister Rita Ouellette. His 12 beloved grandchildren; Amanda, Ashley and her husband Jay, Aaron, Matthew, Ryan, Jennifer, Luke, Kaylie and her husband Brandon, Austin, Devin, Nathan, David Ryan, and his wife Courtney. He also leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren; Keith, Isaac, Landon, Aubree, Jenna, Ryan, and Ashton; His father-in-law Norman St. Peter and many nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply. He was predeceased by his sister Rena Ouellette and six brothers; Maxime Jr, Henry and Emery (twins), Jean and Joe (twins) and Charles.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at 10:00 am on Saturday August 4th, 2018 at The Church of St. Dominic, 1050 Flanders Rd. Southington. O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave, Forestville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
