Joseph M. Proud III

Joseph M. Proud, III, 63, of Southington, passed unexpectedly, Wednesday morning, March 3, 2021, at his home.  He was the beloved husband of Mary M. Proud.
 
Joe was born in Providence, RI on August 12, 1957 the son of Joseph M. Proud, Jr. of Sudbury, MA and the late Jean (Williams) Proud.  He was currently an insurance agent with Nationwide Insurance in Farmington.  Joe was active and well known in the Professional Disc Golf Association and was known throughout New England as the “Godfather of Disc Golf."

Besides his wife and father, Joe leaves his children, Joseph M. Proud, IV and his wife Teodora Pejasinovic Proud of Moscow, Idaho, daughter Sara Proud of Southington and his sister, Laura Haley of Marlborough and several nieces and nephews.
