Judith B. Morton

Judith (Judy) B. Morton, 64, formerly of Madison and Cheshire, passed peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, MA.

Judy was born in Portsmouth, VA on September 20, 1955 the daughter of June Morton Stanton of Waterbury and the late Ralph W. Morton, Jr. She was a 1973 graduate of Cheshire High School and attended Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH and Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven. For a time, she was a Research Lab Assistant at Yale University.

Besides her mother, Judy leaves her beloved daughter, Taryn Hoffman and her fiancé Mason Pelton of Bristol; a brother, Wyn Morton and his wife Mary of Brewster, MA; sisters Shirley Bednarek and her husband Jim of Farmington and Meredith Morton Drozd and her husband Anthony of Charlestown, RI; her Aunt Marilyn Medler of Framingham, MA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick J. Hoffman, Jr. and her beloved brother-in-law Jack Mitchell.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol.
