Larry Kwokpo Chan, 25, of Bristol, passed away unexpectedly following an accident that occurred on May 29, 2022. He was born on June 3, 1997 in Portsmouth, VA and the only son of his beloved mother, Fanny Chan.
Larry grew up in Bristol, graduating from Bristol Eastern High School in 2015. He was a musician, playing the drums and beat boxing. He also enjoyed drawing as he was an avid artist. Larry loved to have fun and was very outgoing. He enjoyed traveling which he was able to do upon joining the military. He served over three years as a CPL with the United States Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan before being honorably discharged from the military.
Larry began working at Power Home Remodeling as a Customer Development Mentor. From the moment that he started there, he captivated his coworkers with his contagious energy and outgoing personality. He quickly received a promotion into management based off the incredible impact that he had on others. In addition, he selflessly served as an ambassador to multiple different professional initiatives. His professional success is second to how beloved and cherished he was amongst his peers.
Aside from his mother Fanny, Larry is survived by his maternal Grandmother Sonia Chan; his Uncle and Aunt Dickson and Anna Chan; his cousins Joanna Fong, Kathy Fong-Rutter, Winnie Jackson, Daphne and Janice Chan.
Memorial Services will be on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 11AM – 2PM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol, CT 06010. A service will begin at 2PM followed by military honors at the funeral home.
