Lisa Anne (Reynolds) Simone, 60, of Bristol, passed peacefully Tuesday evening from complications of COVID-19 on December 29, 2020 at Bristol Hospital.
Lisa was born in Meriden on April 23, 1960, the daughter of Gale (Paszek) Reynolds of Bristol and the late Richard Reynolds. Lisa graduated from Kaynor Tech a Licensed Practical Nurse and earned an Associate Degree from Tunxis Community College. She worked as a LPN at Bradley Memorial Hospital and New Britain General Hospital for many years. She also worked at First Bristol Federal Credit Union for 15 years. In her free time, she volunteered at the Bristol Senior Community Center.
Lisa was a passionate animal lover and rescued and cared for many cats over the years. She was a talented cross stitcher and generously gifted many of her pieces to friends and family. She enjoyed cruising with her family, trips to Florida, and a good murder mystery novel.
Besides her mother, Lisa leaves her son Matthew Simone of Plainville and his wife Nancy; her son Jeffrey Simone of Tokyo, Japan and his wife Yu and their son Gino; and her sister, Abigail Reynolds and brother-in-law Robert McKiernan; and many extended family members.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol. Please adhere to all current COVID-19 protocols including the wearing of a face mask. In addition, please keep visitation time to a minimum in consideration of occupancy limits of the funeral home. Services will be held when it is comfortable to gather at a later date.
