Lydia E. Quinones

Lydia E. Quinones, 90, of Bristol passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at The Pines at Bristol. She was born on May 17, 1927 in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico a daughter of the late Ulysses and Aurea (Delgado) Garcia.

Lydia was the loving wife of the late Jose Quinones, together shared 69 years of love. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her grandchildren and her poodle, Bombie. Her family will miss her dearly.

Lydia is survived by her daughters Lydia Newton and her husband George of Plantsville, Norma Quinones Guzman and her husband Richard of Puerto Rico; sons Jose Quinones, Jr. and his wife Lourdes of VA, Luis Quinones and his wife Carmen of NJ; grandchildren Jeffrey, Tracy, Rebecca, Albert, Jennifer, Liana and Leila and great-grandchildren Emmet, Myles and Easton. She is predeceased by her three siblings and niece Zolangie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 10:00AM directly at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol. Calling hours will be held later that night from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/ Forestville. A burial will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00AM at St Raymond New Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave, Bronx, NY 10465.
