Marcus A. Greene

Marcus Allen Greene, 21, of Bristol, passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 19, 2023.
He was born on September 8, 2001 in Bristol, CT. He is the son of Maritza Yopp and Patrick Greene.
He received his diploma from Bristol Central High School and was employed as a cook at Friendly’s restaurant.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents Willie and Gloria Yopp and his great-great-great grandmother, Susan Yopp along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was very fond of his little cousin, Ehonesty, who he likes to tease, teaching her the game of UNO and how to strategize the game of Connect4.
Marcus loved the game of basketball. When he was younger, he and his friend Christian Nordgren were on the front page of the Bristol Press. A photographer took a picture of them in action playing basketball. During sport season for basketball and football, he and his grandpa would discuss certain players on various teams. He loved his sneakers and tattoos. He was planning to add more tattoos to his collection. Marcus was very helpful to his grandmother when needed as she was recovering from her health issues. He would always ask her if she ate and if she needed any help.
Family and friends are invited to call at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol on Wednesday May 31, 2023 starting at 10 AM until the start of the funeral service at 11AM, followed by a procession to Peacedale Cemetery Bristol.
