M. Thomas "Tom" Cassina of Vero Beach, Florida, died Thursday February 17 at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital surrounded by his devoted family.
He was a native of Bristol, CT. He and his wife are residents of Vero Beach and maintain their family home in Burlington, CT. He graduated Northeastern University with a bachelor's degree. He had a successful career in logistics before retiring to own and operate Meriden Liquor Mart for 17 years working with his son. His loves were his family, friends, sports, and walking the beach. He was a long-standing member of the Elks Lodge, most recently a member at the Vero Beach Elks Lodge #1774.
Mr. Cassina is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Merrily Cassina; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Amanda Cassina of Tolland, CT; daughter Christine Cassina and Fiancée John Brennan of West Palm Beach, FL; granddaughter Haley (Cassina) Cox and two great grandchildren; and grandson Chandler Cassina.
