Mary M. McCormack

Mary M. McCormack, 82, of Terryville, passed peacefully Saturday evening, April 25, 2020, from complications of the Covid-19 virus at Waterbury Hospital.

Mary was born in Waterbury on May 6, 1937 a daughter of the late Francis and Ethel Woodruff. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. She retired from AirPax in Cheshire, where she worked for many years.

A loving mother, Mary leaves her children, Robert McCormack and his fiancée, Joan Cramer, of Bristol; Thomas McCormack and his wife, Donna, of Camillus, NY; Lori Gallivan and her husband, Kevin, of Paxton, MA; William McCormack and his wife, Kimberly, of Terryville; and her daughter and best friend Catherine McCormack of Terryville with whom she resided; Grandchildren, Kyla, Anthony, Timothy, Emily, Katie, William, Monica, Melissa and Megan; six great-grandchildren; and her brother William Woodruff and his wife, Barbara. William was the youngest of Mary’s brothers, and she always watched over him from school years right through adulthood. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Mary is also survived by sisters-in-law Elaine and Shirley Woodruff and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Harold, Thomas, and George Woodruff.
