MaryAnn L. Sakowski, 83, of Burlington, widow of Stanley Sakowski, passed away peacefully on Friday July 27, 2018.
MaryAnn was born in Middletown on April 30, 1935 the daughter of the late Edward and Mae (Czajkowski) Sippe.
Mrs. Sakowski was a bookbinder for many years at Hildreth Press and was an active volunteer with the Zion Lutheran Soup Kitchen and St. Stanislaus Church. Her favorite hobbies were baking, cake decorating, sewing, knitting and crocheting.
MaryAnn is survived by her sons Lee Sakowski and his wife Gwen of Terryville and Ed Sakowski and his wife Huey of Bristol; her daughter Lori Vallee and her husband Ray of Burlington; her grandchildren Jennifer Mueller, Crystal Wiggins and Samantha, Joshua and Jacob Vallee; her sister Irene Formato of Bridgeport; her sister-in-law Frances Kozuch and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday July 30, 2018 from 5PM until 7PM at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol, CT.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 9AM from O’Brien Funeral Home to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM, followed by a procession to Burlington Center Cemetery.
