Tribute

Maureen Miano, 68, of Bristol, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, February 24, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Sinclair, Maine, daughter of the late Arthur Boucher and Yolande (Albert) Pelletier.

Maureen was the loving wife of Nicholas Miano for nearly 48 years. She so cherished the family they built together which included their two beautiful daughters.  She cherished the time spent with her two grandchildren more than anything and her love for them was the driving force that kept her going.  She always made the members of her family, especially her nieces and nephews feel so special and loved. She taught us that despite how difficult life can be, you can always find a reason to smile.

Besides her husband, Maureen is survived by her daughters Alyssa Volpicella and her husband Kevin of Bristol, Kristen Hoffman and her husband Scott of South Windsor; grandchildren Kaylene and Connor Volpicella of Bristol; sisters Jocelyn Skirkanich and her husband Nicholas of Cheshire, Louise Ignacak and her husband Richard of Bristol; brother Donald Boucher and his wife Shelley of FL and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Maureen is predeceased by her stepfather Fernand Pelletier and her brother Dean Boucher.

There will be no calling hours and services will be held private.
