Nicholas James Parenti, 7, of Bristol, passed away August 31, 2022 following a short battle with cancer. He was born on October 2, 2014, son of Robert J. and Margaret “Margo” (Walerysiak) Parenti.
Nicholas was a charismatic and exuberant child, well known for his one-liners and his smile that stretched for miles. He would have started third grade this year at Greene Hills School where he was loved by friends and teachers alike. He played baseball with the Bristol Little League and flag football with the Bristol Bulldogs. He was also a Cub Scout for Pack 425. An avid TN Titans and NY Yankees fan, Nicholas was known to have a ball or a glove in his hand and could almost always be found outside playing in his yard or swimming in his grandparents’ pool in the summertime. He cherished the company of his family, friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed playing video games and watching football and baseball games. Most important to Nick were his older brother, Alex, and his parents who knew him to be wise beyond his years — always living life with passion to its fullest.
Nick is survived by his loving parents, Rob and Margo Parenti; his brother Alexander Parenti; his paternal grandfather John Parenti, of Bristol; his maternal grandparents Mark Sr. and Krystyna Walerysiak, of Bristol; his aunts and uncles Bill Parenti, of Simsbury; Mark Jr. and Daniela Walerysiak, of Bristol, and Peter Walerysiak and his fiancé Taylor Braidich, of Farmington; his cousins Sam and Ben Parenti, of Simsbury; and countless friends. Nick was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Kathleen Parenti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10AM at St. Matthew Church, Bristol.
Nicholas wanted his birthday gift this year to be a donation to the CT Humane Society, therefore, it is only fitting that memorial donations be made in honor of Nick to CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road Newington, CT 06111 or online at www.cthumane.org. His family would also like donations to be made to Friends of Feeney, an organization that helps children and families through challenging times, online at www.friendsoffeeney.com or to CT Children’s Medical Center who took such great care of Nick at Connecticut Children’s Foundation, Inc., PO Box 412901, Boston, MA 02241-2901 or online at www.give.connecticutchildrens.org.
