Norman R. Peterson

Norman R. Peterson, Sr., 96, of Forestville, died peacefully on Tuesday October 4, 2022 at Bristol Hospital, after a long illness.
He was born on December 27, 1925 in Bristol, the son of the late Robert and Lillian (Nystrom) Peterson.
Norman was a US Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and worked for Sessions Clock in Forestville and Robert Shaw Group in Waterbury until his retirement. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of Forestville and loved playing golf and watching his favorite baseball team New York Yankees. 
He is survived by his son Norman R. Peterson, Jr. and his wife Janet of Altamonte Springs, FL; his special nieces and caregivers, Donna Peterson Adams and Judith Peterson of Forestville and several other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Deguzis) Peterson; his brothers Robert A. and William F. Peterson and his sister Arlene (Peterson) Chabot.
Per his wishes, there are no calling hours and a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. O’Brien Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
