Patricia Ward

Patricia “Patti” Ward, 69, of Forestville, passed quietly Sunday afternoon, January 17, 2021 at the Village Green of Bristol. She was the wife of the late Donald M. Ward.

Patti was born in New Britain on January 2, 1952 the daughter of the late Howard J. Cadrain and Helene (Watrous) (Cadrain) Hultgren.

Patti was a graduate of the Plainville High School Class of 1970 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Syracuse. She began her nursing career in Jacksonville, FL from 1975 to 1977 and returned to Connecticut and employed by Bristol Hospital. She was also a member of St. Matthew Church, Forestville.

She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and had served as Council President of the former Subacute Center in Forestville where she was very active on the resident council.

Patti leaves her son, Christopher A. Ward of Bristol, grandchildren Logan and Kaelyn Ward; siblings Robyn Cadrain of Weatogue and Eloise Fioravanti of Plainville and Howard J. Cadrain of Bristol; as well as nieces and nephews Marcie, Daniel, Mark, Heather, Howard John and Patrick.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol. Please adhere to all current COVID-19 protocols including social distancing and the wearing of a face mask. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville.
