Philip Martin Neurath

Philip Martin Neurath, 66, of Bristol, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 23, 1956 in New Britain, of the late Marie Rachel (Chasse) and Howard Neurath. Phil was the loving husband of Lori (Barnum) Neurath for 42 years.

A dedicated and loyal employee, he recently retired from his job as a Tool and Die Maker at Associated Spring after 34 years, due to his illness. He could build or fix anything and was willing to teach anyone who wanted to learn with unparalleled patience. Phil had a great love of the outdoors and could often be found tending to his lawn and gardens. He loved traveling to Vermont where he enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, canoeing, dirt biking and other outdoor activities over the years, memories he was able to share with his wife, son and closest friends and family.

Phil had a kindness rarely seen and a willingness to help anyone who needed it. His loss will leave a void for everyone who was lucky enough to know him.
Besides his wife, Lori, Phil is survived by his son Bryan Neurath of Bristol; sisters Kathy Jacobsen and her husband John of Unionville, Pauline Mowry and her husband Rick of Middletown, Peggy Mills of FL; in-laws Cindy Miner and her husband Rick of Bristol, Kathy Barnum of Bristol, Dan Barnum and his wife Marge of Bristol; Holly Cosgrove and her husband Sam of FL; as well as close family friend Jennifer Jabs of Bristol. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and their children.

Calling hours will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 12PM until 2PM.
