Raymond Kilburn Tie, 73, of Naugatuck, passed with dignity Thursday morning, April 15, 2021.
Raymond was born in Clinton, MA on January 7, 1948 a son of the late Anthony and Eleanor (Kilburn) Tie. He began his adult life in the US Army, serving 2 years in Vietnam before returning home to attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His working years were mainly spent in the retail sector in management and various other positions. He spent the end of his life as he wished warming his bones in Florida before returning home when his health no longer permitted it. Raymond was an avid reader, enjoyed crosswords, and watching his favorite sports teams; the Yankees, Giants, and UConn. He also had a love for just about anything chocolate.
He leaves his sons, Patrick Tie and Alex Tie, his daughter-in-law Alicia and grandchildren Christian and Madison. His brother Michael Tie and significant other Jeanette Chaney. His former wife Carrie Tie and his niece and nephew Jason Tie and Rachel Morrison along with their respective families.
