Robert "Bob" Harrison

Robert “Bob” Harrison, Sr., 67, of Bristol, passed unexpectedly Sunday, May 2, 2021. He was the husband of Alane (Marino) Harrison.

Bob was born in Baltimore, MD on January 18, 1954 the son of the late Maurice and Evelyn (Humphries) Harrison. Bob was a peacetime veteran serving in the U.S. Marines. He had also been employed by the U.S. Post Office in Hartford.

Bob enjoyed bowling and horse shoes and was a member of Post 20 of the American Legion and was a member of the Terryville Polish Club. Bob especially loved to spend time with his grandkids and spoiling them with ice cream and candy. 

Besides his wife, Bob leaves his sons, Rob Harrison and his wife Jennifer, and Kyle Harrison; grandchildren Haylee, Frankie and Zachary Harrison; brother Donald Harrison; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bob is predeceased by his sisters Gail Regnier, Patricia Lang and her husband Gil and by his brother Kenneth Harrison.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol. His funeral will leave at 9:15 a.m. Friday, May 7th from the funeral home and will proceed to St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Forestville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. The committal service and interment with full military honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, 1309 Stanley St., New Britain.
